01 — Who we are

A waterman’s shop. The gear we rent is the gear we ride.

We are not a kiosk in a hotel lobby. We are three shops run by people who surf before work and paddle after it, on an island where the water changes character every few miles.

So when you ask which board, we ask where you’re going and what you’ve ridden before. Then we hand you something that will actually work. That is the whole business.

Three ways to spend a morning here.

Surf Lessons

Waikoloa & Kona · Private or group

Two hours, a board that suits you, and an instructor who reads the set before it arrives. Most people are standing before the lesson ends.

04 — The island

One island. Four coasts. Completely different water.

Hilo is rain and rivermouths. Kona is clear and deep. Waikoloa is warm and forgiving. Tell us where you are staying and we will tell you where to go that day.
